The true art of stalling in MTT:s.
My friend has an annoying strategy in MTT:s, he stalls (or as he says, "I'm using my timebank just as I want")
There is 46 players left in the tourney, 9plrs-tables. When next person goes out there will be only five tables instead of six. If he's close to the blinds he starts to stall and hope for the best, that another player will be eliminated and when one tables disappears....

I find myself playing more and more rebuy games, you know the ones I mean...where almost everyone in the game acts like they're loaded. They tend to go all in all the time and usually with garbage. Now I'm not complaining about that aspect of it because they usually have garbage and if/when I call I have a very solid hand and usually win, but...are these people loaded? or just stupid? I just don't get that type of play, they figure they'll try any hand all in and it doesn't matter because they can always get more chips, keep in mind this goes for games as high at a $30 rebuy. They basically do us the favor of uping the prizepool, but I just don't understand it.
Anyway on to my question. I love rebuys because people that really don't know how to play, do play and add a ton of more money for me to win. However, I adamantly refuse to rebuy, I think it is an idiotic waste of money, if I can't win with my original buyin then I'm not going to win the game. I will addon from time to time though, depending on where I stand at break. Now I'm sure you're thinking I'm out of my mind, why play a rebuy game and not rebuy, but think about it...I can pay the original $30 and do well or I can take on the rebuy mentality and make stupid moves and have to waste more of my money OR I can play smart, play my regular game and rake in the money.
In the last couple of weeks I have cashed (and cashed very well) in 90% of the rebuy games I've played and maybe 50% on tourneys' that don't offer the rebuy.
